Tri-Community Greenway Amenities
Picnic Areas at Montvale Avenue and Pomeworth Street
Fall 2020
More than 20 volunteers from the Greater Boston Association of Realtors® (GBAR) and the Stoneham Community Development Corporation (CDC) came out to clean up and install picnic areas on two sections of the Tri-Community Greenway in Stoneham on Saturday, October 24, 2020.
In the fall of 2019, GBAR secured a placemaking grant from the National Association of Realtors® and also donated its own funding to work on this project with the Stoneham CDC. Along with support from The Presti Group, Mahoney's Garden Centers, Joe O’Sullivan from Canner Law & Associates and Deb Frank from Metro Credit Union, we were able to upgrade two sections (Montvale Ave. & Pomeworth St.) of the Tri-Community Greenway which runs through the communities of Stoneham, Winchester and Woburn, by adding bike racks, picnic tables and planting maple trees.
