About the Workshop

Heard the hype about autonomous vehicles?
Wondering how they may affect your life?
STAC is moving the conversation from the theoretical to the ground level. On January 20th, local transportation planning firm Schweiger Consulting will offer an introductory workshop on common questions like:

What exactly is an autonomous vehicle?
How do they work?
Why should I care about them?
Why should we as a community care about them?
What are the common fears?

Presenter Bio
Carol Schweiger is President of Schweiger Consulting LLC and a founding member of the Stoneham Transportation Advisory Committee (STAC). Carol grew up in Stoneham and, though a world traveler, her Stoneham roots remain deep. She brings 38 years of experience in transportation consulting. Her work is nationally and internationally recognized in the area of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and Advanced Public Transportation Systems (APTS). Carol has provided over 60 transportation agencies with detailed technical assistance including systems engineering.

About STAC
The Stoneham Transportation Advisory Committee is part of the Stoneham CDC. Founded in 2015, the STAC was recently recognized by the American Planning Association Massachusetts Chapter as a leader in social advocacy for better mobility choices and citizen planning. More on STAC here.
